@RGB would a standard 20pin ribbon cable extension work to extend the 3P4P connector?

So I have a question, I was removing the battery from by c-board today to get it ready for when my multi arrives. Should these pins be jumped / traces cut?

hopefully someone on the forum will offer a service for removing and installing the Q-Sound chip on a board. I know I have a "dead" CPS2 board with a Q-Sound chip waiting to be harvested.

Well, USPS appears to be moving at a snails pace. My multi was scheduled for delivery today, but my local post office never received the package.
