I had the same problem. Try changing the big capacitor and make sure you have 5.03 - 5,08 volts measured at the jamma edge on the PCB. Worked for me.

I would start by removing the buttons on the control panel and give them a good alcohol clean. Check the soldering, continuity with a multimeter etc. Maybe service 2 button is just stuck? I would also check your wire harness. Based on the pictures it looks like a lot of spliced cables.

Hmmm.... Hooked up a wire directly to the AMP up connector since this area on my custom Impress to MS9 adaptor was unpopulated. Had the correct pins from another Amp up connector, but no action at all. I even let the monitor wark up, but pushing the button didn’t do shit. Does Polarity affect...
