CPS2 Desuicide Troubles On Early Rev Boards

Glad to hear of success on Rev 3/4 boards. I tried many things but eventually gave up and burned unencrypted Roms for all the boards. I never tried removing the ROMS as suggested but I did try different PSU's. My Arduino cables were a bit long, that coupled with the longer traces mentioned by...

CPS2 Wrong Sounds Playing on Phoenixed Board

Got this board fixed. On PAL3 I disconnected the jumper from the solder side, lifted pin 9 and connected the jumper to it. Confirmed I had a good connection to C13 on CN3 and it worked. All sounds are perfect.

CPS2 Desuicide Troubles On Early Rev Boards

I was starting to think that my Arduino was the problem or that the pinout was wrong but then I tried a Rev 7 board and it worked the first time. That confirmed for me that the pins are correct (at least for my Arduino) and that it is working. I am also using the Sainsmart one linked in the...

CPS2 Wrong Sounds Playing on Phoenixed Board

It is PAL G and a REV 3 board, the jumper wire on the solder side going from the PAL to to CN5 is there. The PCB itself looks to be in great shape, nice and clean, no obvious damage. Also I should be more specific, the sounds seem correct but playing at the wrong time. It likes playing...

    WTB: Candy Cab!!!

A question for the Candy Guru's here: When I mentioned earlier I may have had some buttons, turns out I only have screw in type (regular Happ style). I see in the pics that Aero has push in type. What buttons normally comes on the Aero? Sanwa? Seimitsu? Where is a good place to source the...

CPS2 Wrong Sounds Playing on Phoenixed Board

Hello- I recently picked up an 'as-is, untested' B board for cheap. Plugged it in and find out it is an SF Alpha 3 Phoenix edition. The game plays perfect as far as controls go. However the wrong sounds play constantly as well as a weird 'beep' kind of noise. I thought this might be a...

CPS2 Desuicide Troubles On Early Rev Boards

I am both glad and sad to hear I am not the only one that has had problems. I wonder what the differences were between those that had success and those that did not. Did certain regions work better than others? Certain games? Or was it random?

CPS2 Desuicide Troubles On Early Rev Boards

Hello All- First off, let me start by saying I have had no problems desuiciding later boards with the CN9 connector, got that on the first try, so I know my Arduino works. I have not been able to fix two Rev 3 boards and a Rev 4. All the boards I know worked just fine before the batteries...

In classic SF2, Ken for me also. Especially for SF2 Hyper Fighting, I liked the wider arc on the uppercut.

    Hello from Los Angeles

Hello everyone- I am from the LA area and have been playing and collecting arcade stuff for many years. When I was in high school, I spent most of my time (and ALL of my money) playing Street Fighter 2. I have been hooked on fighting games ever since. Was looking into netbooting for my Naomi...
