Flaky Lindberg Yellow Multi - games sometimes crash on start

Interesting. So games can crash if the monitor doesn't responds with the EDID request quickly enough. I'm guessing its that way so that if a game is left running but the monitor fails, it doesn't put unneeded strain on the GPU if the game can't be played

Flaky Lindberg Yellow Multi - games sometimes crash on start

Oh shoot! Yeah you gotta use VGA, if the game and monitor supports it then its gonna run the HD version instead of VGA. But once the game's up and running you can absolutely use a DVI to HDMI cable to capture gameplay

Flaky Lindberg Yellow Multi - games sometimes crash on start

Maybe bad RAM? GPU not getting initialized properly? I know the Lindbergh i worked on from a Rambo refused to boot anything, telling me the JVS board was bad all the time. But swapping the Lindbergh completely fixed the issue once the owner went multi on it. But i would wager bad RAM honestly...

    Lindbergh Emulator

I messed with this but i cannot get Afterburner, Outrun or Rambo to boot. It builds without errors but when i try to launch a game i either see "object cannot be preloaded" or bash tells me it doesn't have the right permission so i try to run it with sudo and bash then complains that the...

    Lindbergh Emulator

Ringbergh? Wait Sega used RingEdge hardware with a special OS to allow the RingEdge to run Lindbergh games? If so that's definitely something that needs to be preserved.

Sega Chihiro Type 1 issues - House of the dead 3

If the battery wasn't working at all, leaving the cabinet off for a few hours would be enough to wipe the RAM content clean so that when you boot it back up, it has to reload the entire game. Hopefully fingers crossed, changing the RAM out will clear out the glitchiness you're experiencing

    Machine Comparisons

Some games are different. After Burner for example the throttle is half assed, you can speed up but you can't slow all the way down to try and avoid missiles that are behind you or enemy planes that stays behind you, which also means you cannot switch to the After Burner 2 soundtrack before a...

Sega Chihiro Type 1 issues - House of the dead 3

I think the Chihiro uses DDR RAM and i doubt any electronic shop carries those anymore. Your best bet for new RAM sticks would be eBay.

Sega Chihiro Type 1 issues - House of the dead 3

It could be the memory that's corrupting itself and causing the Chihiro to crash. Change the RAM on the board, Chihiro's have a battery to keep data sustained between power off's in the RAM. So if it takes a few days before you can reboot your board once it crashes, its almost certainly bad RAM...

Daytona USA 2 no rear audio

My friend has two Daytona USA 2 cabinets. One of them has front and rear channel audio playing just fine. The one with proper sound output has music and pit crew coming from the rear channels and engine comes from the front channels. The one i want to help get proper sound output again has...

Sega Chihiro Type 1 issues - House of the dead 3

No problem. I do hope though that the Chihiro outputs a signal that a standard monitor will display. Me reading too quickly i thought you were dealing with a Lindbergh considering the extensive research i did last fall to help a friend revive his Rambo cabinet. But chances are the Xbox that the...

Sega Chihiro Type 1 issues - House of the dead 3

As you say it could be the fan on the GPU overheating but it could also be power to the monitor that's flaky. There's also the possibility that this is caused by failing caps on the monitor chassis which requires a monitor recap. Gotta keep in mind these monitors are over 20 years old and have...

help to change hdd hummer ide to sata

I'm pretty sure that using a SATA drive means having to turn it into a multi, i think Lindbergh only reads from IDE drives. Maybe with an IDE adapter but last time i tried one to try and get a Rambo back up and running, it never saw the SSD on the IDE bus

Outrun2 SP DX, Bug in drive board with multigames and lindbergh patched without drive and actuator board

Hmm then i don't know. I've only worked on a Rambo cabinet so far. Haven't worked on a drive cab that runs a Lindbergh before.

Outrun2 SP DX, Bug in drive board with multigames and lindbergh patched without drive and actuator board

Go in Game Assignment and in cabinet type select uplight, that's the upright option. Otherwise in the same menu and on the same option try standard. It should go Uplight, standard, DX and SDX for the cabinet type

You have to set the game in the test menu to be an upright cabinet and its gonna ignore the servos check

    Rambo with many issues

Oh man i really forgot to update everyone with the progress on this right? Good news! The Rambo cabinet has been running rock solid since late September 2022! How did me and my friend bought it back to life? Unfortunately it had to be restored with a multi drive. My friend had two 7600GS and...

    Lindbergh Emulator

Can't wait to see more progress on this! This is going to be huge to bring Lindberghs back from the dead without using a multi or having to deal with the Lindbergh being locked to one or two GPU it can use. I guess the next logical step would be for someone to create a clone of the JVS card or...
