    Modeling software for 3D prints

Started to use Fusion360, seems to work well, and it isn't as easy as in FreeCad to mess up your project. Though I haven't tried 1.0, yet.

    JTAG

I managed to program a device with urjtag+picoDirtyJtag. I had to remove lots of delays from the svf file to get it to complete without errors, it still printed a lot of messages, but the device worked in the end. No idea if the problem is in urjtag or dirtyjtag. I see this as cheap option to...

    IGS PGM STEREO MOD

I got Frog Feast to run, but not the sprites: https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/igs-pgm-frog-feast-on-real-hardware.17632/ Also some quick scrolling test: https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/pgm-mvs-homebrew.24335/ iq_132 has done some good research in this area, but so far I didn't...

    3D printed + arduino + thermal ticket printer Initial D 1-8 card reader/printer

I would check if those emulators already support this. If you run this from PC style hardware than you should be able to connect both scanner and printer to a small usb hub.

    3D printed + arduino + thermal ticket printer Initial D 1-8 card reader/printer

Some info here, so should be feasible: https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/naomi-2-chihiro-triforce-card-reader-emulator-initial-d3-wmmt-mario-kart-f-zero-ax.814/ I think most scanners and receipt printers nowadays go over USB, so a pi-zero should be more than enough.

    JTAG

Unfortunately I can't recommend the Quartus -> pof -> jed pipeline. I had it twice now where I got non-working chips: Once with a Verilog project for a someone, which was split into a few modules. This produced a chip where not all features worked correctly. Mysteriously these features worked...

    IGS PGM STEREO MOD

Apparently they use a variation of tracker files, which someone extracted at some point. They actually play back as stereo, but that seems to be because tracker files without L/R balance information use a default channel to Left/Right mapping.

FOUND Cosam the great bare Neptune genesis 32x board.

Capacitor arrays? https://www.digikey.de/short/7t9r279r You could always ask him, I guess: https://bsky.app/profile/cosam-the-great.bsky.social

Any PGM Conversion info out there?

That sounds suspiciously like bad memory, either a dirty slot connector, bad soldering, bad power, or failing chips. Specifically I'd look at the "B" roms, which store the sprite mask. IIRC that screen is a huge sprite.

Build your own Furrtek NeoGeo Fusion MVS to AES adapter - how to program .jed to CPLD?

Do you have a link for that part? My tigard jtag board goes down to 1.8V, alternatively you can get power from the board you connect to to power the bus drivers.

Sega Megadrive (French RGB PAL) black screen [SOLVED/not SHORTS & CAPS but 1145p Chip]

VCC1 should be positive voltage. (I think what usually happens if VCC is disconnected is that power goes from the pins through the ESD protection diodes, which results in glitchy operation.)

Sega Megadrive (French RGB PAL) black screen [SOLVED/not SHORTS & CAPS but 1145p Chip]

I'd try to find which pin exactly needs to be disconnected for it to work, then check for short-circuits on that pin.

furrtek - MVS to AES fusion converter

I contacted him April last year and got a response a day later, so I expect he is distracted by other life stuff.

Could you make a custom eprom to get all values, or does it need to run from the arm side?

PGM single game PCB assembly and troubleshooting

Depends - if you have a genuine cart that doesn't encrypt the M68k code then anything that works with my boards will work with that as well. It looks like the ASIC encryption hardware can be either applied to the M68k code or the ARM code. (My PROG board is based on a genuine card with all the...

    JTAG

So far I have the best results with the Tigard board, but one of those days I want to try https://github.com/phdussud/pico-dirtyJtag as well. Depending on the design of your board and your programmer you may need power to go from your board to your programmer to drive the output drivers to the...

    Sega System 24 Floppy Issue

You can get an io-test firmware for the gotek as well, that helps to see if the fdc signals are arriving at the floppy and the other way around: https://github.com/keirf/flashfloppy/wiki/Testing-IO-Pins
