    Cabal PGM Port beta

Yes, though I'd expect that they have a license agreement with IGS, which would include a technical contact if they need to fix issues in the original games. No idea if the FB team did anything, I expect products use it quite frequently without reaching an agreement with the team. I'd be...

    PGM Consolization Supergun

I found the schematics and remembered that I need to verify the footprints for some sockets, and place parts of the audio amplifier. I've got another (non-arcade) project I want to order at the same time that needs some cleanup as well.

Neo geo Kizuna Encounter 4p board

Hmm... that project has really been sitting for long enough. I'll try to get a workbench set up, otherwise I'll just send out the PCBs I have for people to have a look at.

Modify Gamecube mainboard to work as a Triforce one?

Unfortunately that was long ago on the Dextrose forum, if anyone remembers that. Since then I'm not part of the "modchip" scene for various boring reasons.

Modify Gamecube mainboard to work as a Triforce one?

I thought the GameCube modchip community has discovered the encryption process? IIRC it is just a serial ROM, so you could use a microcontroller to simulate it if no compatible part can be found.

    Cabal PGM Port beta

I asked someone I thought may have a contact at IGS, but they didn't. It would be great if IGS released some SDK information, especially as they built the Switch IGS Arcade collection on top of Final Burn Alpha - but I have no idea how to get through to someone who has that information and who...

https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/pgm-mvs-homebrew.24335/ https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/igs-pgm-frog-feast-on-real-hardware.17632/ ... though I haven't had time to apply iq_132's research to get sprites to work.

The Gladiator - not booting / garbled video output

If you have suitable EPROMs laying around I'd just try burning fresh ones. The other option is that one of the GAL is toast, but I don't think we have dumps of them.

    Cabal PGM Port beta

Very nice, I'll need to try and get my sprite pipeline to work in my code as well.

The Gladiator - not booting / garbled video output

I'd dump the program EPROM (U6 I guess?) and compare it with a version from MAME.

    EPROM to Flash adapter

I created an adapter from 27c1024/2048/4096 to two 39sf010/020/040: It received only minimal testing so far, only that it boots into the PGM BIOS, so I'm not going to share Gerber files. Also, the KiCad project has some new changes over the version in the picture to support larger EPROM. (The...

Dodonpachi 2 - Bee Storm troubleshooting

I have moved as well, a lot of my tools are still boxed, and limited desk space requires packing another project away before testing stuff.

Dodonpachi 2 - Bee Storm troubleshooting

Quick test with two "new" Lattice GAL22v10D worked - though I only tested up to the title screen. Any remaining problems should be simple to resolve, though. The problem was the ASIC logic in U14.

    PGM lookout, especially on Beestorms

I ordered some 22V10 to test this over the weekend. Today I got the order, turned out they sent GAL20V8... Sigh. I don't blame them too much, as the laser etching was virtually unreadable, but they should really label things better.

Dodonpachi 2 - Bee Storm troubleshooting

Following up from this thread, here are pld files for u14 and u15 that should work. They were created by converting a JED dump of the PEEL PLDs back into WinCUPL source code. Unfortunately I found only a single Lattice 22V10 in my stash (a lot of my things are still packed away), so I was...

    PGM lookout, especially on Beestorms

Another small update: I've got the fusemap for the combinatorial part decoded, it probably took more time to write a JED loader... I'll see if I can handle the bits for the macrocells tonight.
