    FS BlueSCSI shaped for CPS3

Then it may have a chance. It's hard to see how much space is available. Anyway if it fits, tape the back of the BlueSCSI to be sure no CC happens. Also, I usually ship same day but I'm out of microSD card ! You can still contact my and book for a board, but expect a short delay in shipping...

It 100% won't fit because of the HDMI mod. Sorry. Another version of the board will be required.

Namco System ES3 Teardown and some basic info

You can get this bios from another card. The ES3 share only 2 bios versions: one for "green marked" cards and the other for the "no marking". They are both very early releases, very close in term of version. About TC5: every TC5 die within a few years. At this level I start to believe we can...

The Definitive Guide to the System 16 Multi Kit

I check CC on this powered off GAL (multi unplugged from mother board). Pins 3 and 24 are connected to VCC (normal for 24). Pins 12 and 13 are connected to GND (normal for 12). Pins 11 and 14 are connected. Is anything wrong ?

The Definitive Guide to the System 16 Multi Kit

Yes, it almost blistering hot and causes graphical/sound issues. I checked the addresses traces between rom 1/3. Also the traces that are next the borders of the pcb. Is there other things to check on v1 ?

The Definitive Guide to the System 16 Multi Kit

Oh they are the same as original romboard ? Are you sure ? The PLD is a GAL22V10 on the multi., a 24 pins device. The original seems to be a GAL18V10, 20 pins device.

The Definitive Guide to the System 16 Multi Kit

Thanks a lot for the help. The board may have been over voltaged (does this verb exists ? :D ), so it's possible the gal had a bad time. How to replace the gal ? I can program them but is the jed file available ?

    Namco ES3 not powering on

Most probably a shortcut on a diode, capacitor or a MOSFET. I didn't check yet

    FS BlueSCSI shaped for CPS3

Hi ! I’ve adapted Eric Helgeson’s BlueSCSI board to snap directly onto the back of a CPS3 mainboard - no ribbon cable needed. This fully replaces the original CD-ROM reader and can be used to flash games, boot games, etc., just like the original drive. The SD card stores the ISO images, and...
