nice machine. I've just bought a pentum II with a voodoo3 to have a windows 98 gaming machine. However, I'd like to get an older machine too, for pure DOS (and perhaps Windows 3.11) gaming.

Oh man these are so sweet, a classic 90's battle station. The DX2 was the first x86 processor where the processor clock was a multiple of the front side bus clock, paving the way for the ghz PC's we have today.

Some classic Dos goodness coming. Many of the games we love in 2024 got their start in the 386/486 era. Doom, Star Control, Duke, Dune2, C&C, Masters of Orion, EOB, Wing Commander. Warcraft.

@hatmoose - when I was building the PC, 486 and DX2 was the best recommended combo.. there’s also sound, I paid $145 for each sound card because it has the recommended chip

I wonder what the sandblaster is for, gonna give case a repaint? :D

Nice machines here, glws!

I remember my 1st 486 it was a DX4/100 I paid $100 bux for it used from a guy who ran a Multi Node BBS here in Malden, MA. It was called Boston Rocks and he had 8 phone lines for his bbs. this was pre internet where internet email was JUST starting. I wish I could go back in time and relive those experiences. BBS's were the shit. I loved my 486 i got a 14,400 baud modem upgraded to 28,800 and then finally 56k before i got broadband. oh the mp3's i downloaded that night haha

Pretty sure this was my bbs machine. 28.8 felt like such a huge jump.

Hope this finds a good buyer! Excellent era.
