I have a Super Deluxe Afterburner with two actuators that control the motion. Now I have the game playing great as long as the motion is turned off, but with it turned on, I get an immediate error code of ABS04. Which on screen says remove obstacle and restart. In the manual this is code ABS05, so I think it’s a misprint in the manual. I’ve pulled loose the actuators and when that code comes up, if the actuators are extended, they will move until one hits the limit switch, so I have the feeling that in the test menu, that it’s my sensors. I am missing one side panel so I don’t have 3 of the LED sensors. I didn’t find where the floor sensors could be turned off anywhere.

So question is, the LED sensors have 4 wires, I assume power and ground, and sensor and ground. Can I tie all of these together (sensor 4 wires to corresponding sensor wires) and just run one sensor and reflector? The ones I have work, and you can wave your hand in front and hear them actuate.
Or is there a way to turn off floor sensors that I just don’t see? I see on the motion board that there are dip switches…but manual doesn’t refer to them. The wiring diagram is really small print. So any ideas? Do I have the right idea by trying to make all the sensors work as one unit?

And to clarify, in the motion test menu, I got to the test screen to move the machine, but the manual states seat belt must be latched and the floor sensors free and clear…so obviously I cannot do that without the other sensors hooked up and working…and I need to trick the system

Okay, well an update, by checking the side I have, I was able to determine that the orange wires when the sensors on one side all lined up and were active, a -8 volts is applied to the wire, so I connected my other side orange to that wire and tricked it into thinking that side works, so I could now test the actuators, still get an error code but it is new. So feel I partially am getting somewhere

Well, ended up hitting a brick wall….we were getting somewhere, actually able to move the actuators up and down, but we still have some issues, and without spending some big bucks on Servos that aren’t guaranteed to work. I will part out the motion stuff. I know my motion board is good, and I have some floor sensors, motor driver boards and transformer, so will be putting up for sale once I determine I do not need the motion board at all to run the game. I’m going to build a new base for the top part and then at least it will fit in more locations without weighing 2000lbs
