Anyone interested in a pc engine duo-rx with games for arcade trades?

I don't really care to collect pc engine stuff anymore. I have a modded pc-engine duo-rx with one of the first component mods ever done to a pc engine. Can still be rgb
Have a lot of good games like Redondo etc.
I have box for the RX. It needs some work. One of the pegs that hold the from moving broke off. Iv been meaning to make a plastic epoxy peg but lost interest. Its also region modded.

Would like to trade the stuff for arcade games.

If this is the wrong place for this please move it accordingly mods ty.

I know Duo-RX isn't cheap, but a trade for Battle Garegga?
Uh... You know that's normally a 1000$ arcade PCB right? ;)

Too bad I already sold my Simpsons, because that trade is far more reasonable/something I might actually consider.

I know its not the arcade version, but JPN Saturn has a really great/accurate port of Battle Garegga (check it out if you haven't already).

I would cover difference. And Rondo isn't cheap ether. It even has the CD cover slip thing on outside

And its for everything in the pictures not just the rx

Yes I have the me of Garegga I imported it for ps4. I just want something special for my 3 cabs I'm freighting here.

I have a soft spot for the TurboGFX 16 games but that shit is usually expensive..Sadly, I don't have anything from your wanted list..

Rondo isn't really that valuable, sure its a awesome game (IMO the best on the console) but not really "rare" far as PCE games go.
Also, if all you want to do is PLAY Rondo (not collect it)... I highly recommend the PCE Works/PCE Memories re-release.

Heh, I got the "real" DX... In 1993.
An article in EGM's international section prompted me to mail order it from JPN for my TG16/CD-ROM back in the day.

I think most people in the PCE scene are posers, because I've been here since day one... While basically every other gamer shit all over the console in the early 90's.
One of my best friends in the early 90's even referred to DX as Castlevania 2 PCE Edition, and refused to ever even play it. :P

If you want to just PLAY Rondo you'd burn a copy.

*personal rant* There's zero value in the PCE Memories stuff. It's not original, so it's no good to collectors. It costs a ludicrous amount of money compared to burning a CD, so it's not very useful for the average player either. I have no idea who they think their market is. *end rant*

Rare or not, it's still a $150-200 game depending on condition according to ebay completed sale prices.

Steamheart is what, another $175-200.

RX will run another 200 or more...

There's $5-600 in three items.

Air Zonk is another 150+. Gate of Thunder hovers around $100. There's not even one complete copy of Ordyne that's sold in the past however many months eBay tracks.

Garegga would be a loss in trade value here. Do I think there's a large cross-section of people who own Garegga and the people who want these exact PCE titles and an RX? No, probably not. But to say it's a lop-sided trade for the Garegga person is just silly.

I couldn't afford one back then I really wanted one as a kid. I saw it at babages and one was running on a tv store at the mall. But I had Atari and a Nintendo.

I eventually got one at the beressa flea market near San Jose.

When I bought my cdrom when eBay was first around. The guy sent me his copy to burn and I sent it back.

People who don't want to tweak the laser intensity of the PCEngine CDROM to boot CD-R discs...
Because its a pressed disc it has the same pickups as a real disc and thus works just like a real disc with zero modification.

Sure some Duo consoles will boot CD-R without adjusting the laser, but my IFU30 wouldn't (or might make it to the title screen before crashing at first load).

Also worth mentioning is that every dump of DX floating around the net I've ever seen used CUE/ISO/APE or MP3 format (to save on file size).
The problem with that is APE and MP3 are both lossy formats, I've yet to see a single dump that uses SHN32 (lossless WAV compression) or fuck even had the pure WAVs.
DX used RSS (Roland Sound Space) and it really rocks (think of a Q-sound competitor) to turn that into join-stereo MP3 is a crime IMO (the channel separation effect is squashed).

Logo can be seen on the back top right hand corner of the box.

@jassin000 that's a legit reason. I've owned 3 Duos, all 3 just worked with burned discs. If other models are fussy, then that makes sense.

i played rondo of blood a year or so ago using the original Wii shop download through component onto my 32" consumer sony trinitron. IMO this was the best way to experience rondo of blood before they closed the original wii shop.

i loved it so much. I 100%ed it with no guide/youtube. It's my favorite single player game of all time. really, really enjoyed it.

I burned a copy because it had the English translation.. I finished it on a PC with an emulator.. I used the same CD to play it on my duo but I couldn't beat it there due to the difficulty level... strategy enough at MagFest a few years ago, there was a vendor selling rondo and if I remember correctly it was like $75 or something.. when I looked at it it said copy.. I asked the vendor and he confirmed that it was a copy..it had the game art on top of the CD and manual and a CD case..I was like $75..wowww..

Now that so many sites are down, I can't find it already translated to save my life. I've tried the patch on a few different rips with no luck. I'd like to find it so I can put it on my SSDS3.

It was an altered version, even the JPN version was changed...
My fave example of simple changes made for the Wii release, they put undies on the werewolf when he changes back/is defeated. :P

Nothing game breaking mind you, but I prefer my werewolf transformations be naked.

I no longer have it.. for the life of me I don't know where I put it.. I would have send it your way if I had.. I am sure that I have the original files somewhere but I am too lazy to look.
