Hi all.
I have been asked by a friend to look at his Arcade 1Up Pacman cabinet game.
It boots up reasonably quickly to the player select screen but pressing the 1 or 2 player buttons does nothing. It eventually goes into a demo mode but again, no response from the buttons.
I hopefully checked the push switches for continuity (as there is no tactile feedback) and yes, they close on pressing. When powered up, there is 1.75v across them, which of course reduces to zero when the respective button is pressed. (I am experienced in analogue electronics)
What I have also noticed is the off/on switch on the front panel does nothing, screen etc. stays on all the time.
Hoping someone with some experience with these might be able to point me in the right direction - hopefully not the local dump!
