I received this system broken a while ago after doing some googling and opening the case some one tried to do this repair and didn't do a good job, Ive removed the one power ic that was replaced as it looked like utter shit and cleaned the area, no damage I can see. I'm planing on buying the parts and ship these with the base unit for repair. can someone do this for me in usa ? ill have to wait on parts to arrive.

I've performed that repair a half dozen times. There are two voltage regulators U38 & reg1. If one is damaged, you might as well replace the other too. I also recommend replacing the power switch at the same time.
Nice, better prices than digikey. I get mine from digikey as part of a larger orders for free shipping which makes a difference if you are non US.
