Displays a really nice picture, but moving to a BNC cable to clean up my setup a bit.

$65 shipped

Touched up a bunch of soldering on the Toro and it's working much nicer now!

Both still available.

Is there a component cable for the Dreamcast yet? Can I connect the Dreamcast with the toro via vga to bnc adapters to the extron? Do I still need like an 192rxi to display the Dreamcast image properly?

I had been going DC -> Toro -> VGA to BNC adapter -> BNC-accepting-Monitor.

I'm not sure about if your monitor needs component.

I've been doing the same as rewrite mentioned right above my reply here, but with an Extron Crosspoint between the adapter and monitor. Only issue you may have is the flagging/warped picture at the top of the screen due to the way the Toro combines sync. Throwing an rxi box like you suggested can fix this.

But to answer your original question, I don't there's a plug-and-play component cable for DC. HDRetrovision has been working on one for a while. Maybe next year?

But if you want an immediate solution with component, combining the output of the Toro with the Retrotink RGB2COMP could work. May still need the rxi in the chain to fix the picture issue, not sure.

Thank you for the answers. I actually have an rxi but that this would add lag.

That’s awesome! No need for me to buy a new cable but just using up another power outlet. Thank you.
