Curious - been seeing a lot of cabs that have either photo stock artwork or decals of some sort on the black bezel surrounding the screens and I was curious about this. Is it a Japanese arcade trend? Is it a normal thing? Are there decals/artwork available out there for this stuff, either repro or original? What's the process of getting things on and off the bezel to those of you who do have cabs like this? Would love a little education on the topic if it's available. Cheers.

Can you post some photos of what you mean? I assume you're not just talking about this kind of stuff.

Sure, so the Japanese Game Center thread has pics like this..and I've seen other pics where there's additional artwork on the cab/bezel that isn't in a marquee holder.

Oh, I mean, game centers just stick shit stuff like that on, I don't think there's anything special about it. One of my Astro Cities still has the sign asking people to not sit at the cab if they're not playing, I left it one because I like the history. It's a just a decal, I'm sure every cab at that game center it came from had them. They want their money lol.

See on the top left bezel.

I see. So it's less of an artistic part of the cab experience and more of places just advertising? Interesting. Always did think there was a lot of free real estate on candy cabs that could be used for artwork. I guess amusement centers agreed and decided to try and market with it..lol
