I picked up my first candy cab earlier in the year and did a little clean up on it. There were cracks below the control panel, so I repaired them with a two part epoxy resin. The control panel had dings and scratches and that was repaired with an autobody glaze. The whole cab has one coat of white primer and two coats of appliance white epoxy. Over all it has good luster, but could certainly use a wet sand and buffing to get it perfect. My buddy picked it up in SoCal for me and along the way to his place the marquee cover flew off (bummer). One of my buddies is helping me source a replacement, so eventually it will have the marquee once again. The cab came with the original Nanao Tri-Sync, but worked for a whole 20 minutes before it took a dump. I'm sending it off to repair, but in the mean time I dropped in this beautiful Sanwa PFX. I back mounted it and placed some spacers on the bolts to get the bezel to lock in completely. I also did the speaker mod with the Aurasound NS2x3. Huge difference! Future plans include a 2 player control panel, buy I think that's about it for this one. When it comes to the cosmetics I'm a one man team and have been learning from other restorations I've done, but when it comes to the electronics and testing of these things I'm still learning and received plenty of help buddies who have been into candies way longer than I've been collecting arcades. Much thanks to them!
