I have a Cabal Track Ball version that I recently converted to joystick using a Joystick Sub and joystick EPROMs that I burned. Issue seems to be P1 Start and Up don't work, with that P2 button 3. Now the button 3 and jumped to to service switch confirmed through a multi-meter.
I traced the four inputs with issues to the 2 separate HB-1 IC's. I see that these are know to fail, but the question that I have, when they fail, is it a partial fail where some input stop working, or would everything stop once it fails?
Just and FYI, I don't think the 1P Start worked before the conversion. And a secondary question, the digital sounds to not fire, only the FM, could this have something to do with the HB-41 or something else?
