Cadillacs and dinossaurs input problem

Can you provide more details about your setup ?
Can you also provide some pictures of your PCB ?

hm, it seems like the mk1 problem, but here the buttons are not pressed. indeed, the directions are working, not the buttons. I`m trying what twistedsymphony guided me, but i think i need to find some pieces to buy

didnt get ur point, mitsu
Bootleggers would quite often scratch any identifying information off chips, I assume so that they couldn't be traced back to the original supplier. It also means they're impossible to replace when they fail because they can't be identified

hm, i understand. I didnt know how bootlegs are so different than the originals, searched for them now. Well, i tracked every input that was missing. i found 2 CIs labeled ``hd74ls244p`` that has 2 points continuing with the ground. So, it`s not working, right?Well, i just compared to another of them haha. Bbut there is an input that ends to nowhere, in a place that maybe it`s missing some CI, but i`ll have to guess - either ``hd74ls244p`` or equal to a neighbor(hd74ls374p)

LS244 is an input buffer/line driver so it's possible, the LS374 is a latch so not likely to be related to I/O

You really need a logic probe or other equipment to go further, unused pins going to ground is normal
