So I acquired an Asia 3S cartridge recently hoping to replace an Asia NoCD one that died on me last year (damn you, static electricity!) as I hate using the CD on these CPS3s.
When I went to fire this living cartridge up without the CDROM attached, I got the “CDROM not connected” error message. Strange, I thought….considering all the Asian 3S carts I’ve ever seen have been NoCD.
So, I had a spare Revision A 3S disc lying around and dug up my CD drive. When I went to plug it in, I was surprised to see this thing boot up in an Asian region that allows you the ability to rewrite your game!
I immediately threw on a helper battery while waiting for a new axial one to arrive & swap out the old one:
Aside from certain sound effects being omitted, it seems like the AI on this one is way more difficult than I’m used to on level 8. The computer seems to parry a lot more & there seems to be way less of a margin for error with how the computer brutally counters (I really need to play against living people again lol).
Does anyone know if there are any AI differences between 3S versions?
