there are acquaintances, colleagues, people you can count on, friends.... then it's Erick
Wow, thanks for the kind words brother.

Just so you know, if you need this for what we all think you need this ;) ;) then I have no problem donating a board to the cause :D just let me know.

It's a very old, long story but you won't see Darksoft buying anything on SHMUPS. Lol. And I'm sure they wouldn't allow any Cave multi on their forum either. :P

I would appricate a cave multi board. nobody wants to sell their akai katana, ddp dfk, ddp sdoj or mmp. it is almost impossible to get the boards for a reasonal price.

Well now at some point you guys gonna have to share that story :)

they said they didn't want anything related to multigames on their site. My mid term memory forgot about it and I posted again...so... banned.

Funny that they don't want to see hardware bootlegs, but they support software bootlegs without shame (MAME for example)

I'm never going to understand double morals...

I don't think it's a double moral thing. More likely not allowing multis is simply a consequence of rules mean to protect from "knock offs" that try to pass themselves off as original boards. A lot of people also see hardware bootlegs as more likely to end up in actual arcades since getting an emulator setup in a real machine with working coin counters is quite a bit more difficult.

From a purely legal standpoint there's also DMCA laws which multis break as they circumvent the hardware protections, but emulation doesn't (I believe only the distribution of ROMs is in violation of the DMCA when dealing with emulation).

Not saying it's right, just trying to look at it from another point of view.

Maybe it's dependent on the country..

Here to download copyrighted roms is illegal (there's no grey zone, it's simply illegal), to own tools to break software/hardware protections is illegal, to use those tools is illegal, to use those tools to play downloaded roms is illegal.

What I mean with "double moral" is that illegal is illegal.. the concept "more illegal" or "less illegal" doesn't exist, you can pay more fines, less fines, or you can be ignored because it's not worth to sue you, but this doesn't change the fact that it's illegal.

Ther's even a court order here that declares illegal to resell your legally bought steam games! (yes, really) :)

Thats crazy!!!!!! Steam probably has in the fineprint that they are leasing you the game instead of selling it! Sheesh!
