Hi there
I finally have a week where I can work on my cabs and get them up to snuff. Now that the PRAS all net is working as expected I'm onto my Chunithm.

The link below shows you the video with the problem. There are 1.5 LED strips that are not working. one full strip is out and the other is half out. also, the left Air Strings while working...also has no lights.

At first, I thought maybe the Air strings lights were not working cause of the strip and a half that is out. I can't find any loose wires and they all seem to be in great shape.

If anyone has any ideas on:
  1. How easy these LEDs are to replace. (they are not strips it looks like they are part of the metal channel.
  2. If in fact, LEDs that are out could have an effect on the Air Strings.
In thinking about this while writing this up, I remember one time when half the lights on the Air Strings worked...but it was only once.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

According to some others, the leds in the strips are connected in series, and the leds on the light sensor are at the end.

So, probably at least one bad led on the strip that's half out
 
They are 12v individually addressable strips.

If you want original parts you can search yahoo auctions Japan and use a proxy like buyee or from Japan to get replacement air strings. Seller named ajioumaizo has some up for sale right now.
 
90% of what is in that second link, auctions been over. but...I do appreciate the link. I'll keep checking.
 
Already have a replacement pair and it still doesn't light up. its one of the LED rows on the billboard. I'm trying to get KC to do the right thing and replace it but....sadly...he won't.
 
Oh…yeah, this is a common thing with KC where he doesn’t fully check everything before sending it out. Unfortunately you’re not alone :/

Regardless, they are still 12v individually addressable leds. I just don’t know how jank it would look swapping with a random strip :/

I wish you the best of luck. I browse yaj a lot so if I see some of the back board strips I’ll let you know.
