Controller issues with TTX3 in Noir cabinet

Hi! I recently bought a Noir cabinet and I am really struggling. I basically have no idea what I am doing. I knew this would be a big project for me and I’m excited to get it working, so I was looking for a bit of help.

The setup I currently have barely works, the buttons are wonky, work in some games and not in others, etc. I have narrowed this down to potentially being a JVS vs. Fast IO problem.

Here is my current setup:

Noir HD cabinet running a Taito Type X3 with ARTAX Multi 4.1. The only way I could get controls to work at all was to plug the USB cable that was plugged into this board:

Directly into the JVS port on the TTX3 and bypass this board entirely.

The cabinet also has this board:

In the bottom of it.

Based on what I have, would it be better to buy new parts and rewire the machine for fast IO, or is there something I am doing wrong with the stuff that I have that will make the machine more compatible with the multi image I am using?

The Noir JVS, which is what you are using, is incompatible with the drivers being used on the TTX3 multi. The best solution is to rewire the cab for Fast I/O.

I thought that might be the case. Is there a guide anywhere that I can follow to at least just get an idea of the right stuff to buy and the basics of getting it installed?
