So i have a CPS-3 that has been in a box for about 10 years that i pulled form an arcade machine myself and put in a box. It was running 3rd strike when i pulled it. After learning that the cart can suicide and wanting to get it back up and running I just ordered a repro cps-3 CD cart. Can anyone suggest what equipment would be best to get this up and running on a CRT with component?

thanks

My personal setup which I use for CPS3 all the time is like this.

Meanwell RT-85 power supply
Minigun Supergun
CPS3 mobo with 4x128 and 2x64 simms
OEM security cart with ultrabios
BlueSCSI replacement for CD drive
Sony PVM CRT (9L2 with 129x clone)
SAT2NEO adapters for the controllers
Sega Saturn “virtua stick”

So if you’ve just ordered a repro cart you’ll also either need to be able to read CDs or use an Optical drive emulator, or buy ultrasimms

You’ll also need a supergun that outputs component, or a converter that takes the RGB from the supergun and converts it to component video like the retrotink RGB2COMP

Lots of other cool stuff that I’m sure others will add, but those are the ones that popped into my head.
