If what I've read there was a bug in the initial release of the CPS-III Ultra Simm bios which causes Red Earth to freeze/unfreeze during gameplay. This is what my CPS-III with Ultra Simm is doing. If I understand correctly the bios lives on the TSOP48 on the SF3:NG cart. From what I've read, and if this is the case, this is quite a bit of soldering and is easy to mess up. Is there anyone on the forum offering to update the bios in North America, preferably Canada?

I thought it was a red earth bug that got patched in rom, doesn’t have anything to do with the bios. You should be able to reflash the simms if that’s correct.

But honestly I do forget if it was fixed at all — because you can also disable the scsi like this https://www.arcade-projects.com/thr...e-of-a-regular-simm.15229/page-21#post-270728

Edit: Oh yeah just found it.. Update your roms and you should be good to go https://www.arcade-projects.com/thr...e-of-a-regular-simm.15229/page-22#post-272010
