Hi all,

I’ve been working on a multi build along with a HDMI install inside of a Jasen case for a local collector, and hit a snag with the build.

The build was in a perfectly functional state during the build, but had to be assembled and disassembled multiple times to test a handful of firmwares for the HDMI kit, but after sitting for a week, I powered the board on to get a video capture and the board now appears to be failing to boot.

I checked all the continuity on the wires I installed, but not seeing anything obviously wrong with the wiring for the HDMI kit, not the QSOUND and RESET jumper wires, so I’m curious if there is something obvious like a pause switch that tou’d see on a Neo Geo board.

From what I can see, the following is true:
HDMI kit puts out garbage for the game output, HDMI OSD can be viewed and interacted with fine (So HDMI is possibly fine?)

Analog video puts out garbage like the HDMI, but appears to flicker and lose sync.

Multi LCD board is able to read the SD card contents fine and appears to start reflashes properly

Dip switch relocation board passes continuity test, all dips on the A board are open with the remote board having the dips that were previously set.

No obvious shorts or dead ICs.

I’m wondering if something failed on the A board from bending fatigue from having to pull apart the kit multiple times to reflash the HDMI kit. Any suggestions on troubleshooting a CPS1 board would be greatly appreciated.

Video of the unit working two weeks ago, pulled it apart to reflash to address the white noise and now the unit seems dead:

Having done my share of CPS1 HDMI board back and forths - if you remove the HDMI board completely, are you able to get an image over JAMMA?
