Hi!

After a month of research and endless nights

, found the fault that prevented the game from starting a cut track under on the PCB at the Simm Connector.

There was also corrosion in certain places on the PCB.

The game works now, but my graphics are not very good in terms of pixel resolution.

it's 8-bit quality style this one X/

I wanted to know if it could come from 74ls245 near the simm slot it is a little cracked and changed

I wanted to know if this could come from a problem with the corrupted rom mask 13,15,17 or 19.

Unfortunately I no longer have 27C322 in stock to test.

I think there could have been corrosion under the custom chips DL1927 DL 1225 near battery location .

I also thought about Rom 01.02 which could not be a Phoenix or Avalaunch version and seeing that the simm programmed on it and a Poenix version & another that I programmed an Avalaunch version, and that could be it, the graphics are probably ugly maybe

Thank you for your help

With the amazing CPS2 reverse engineering project its possible to see exactly what works with what and how

I'm sometimes a bit rubbish at reading schematics. So I use the awesome "what beeps with what" cheat sheet that @WydD kindly shared

Your problem looks like a problem with addressing data. Id be checking all of the address lines coming out of the CGA (DL-1927) first.

I actually had the exact same problem. Posted my notes (and fix) here.

Hi! hatmoose :)

Very Thank you

Very Thank you again, that's exactly the term you said, I have the game in medium resolution on certain writing and on all the outlines of the characters.I will desolder the chips with SMD Removal Kit to make desoldering safer at the hot air station.

I had already started doing some clean restoration, I'm going to have to redo everything lol

in the photos there is corrosion

I’ve had limited success with visual inspection, most faults are non-obvious.

But in those photos I’d be checking the lines joined by those vias (holes through the board) first.

Agree with @hatmoose most faults are not obvious on visual inspection. I would be checking the left hand side of picture 2 first. Which i am pretty sure is where @hatmoose is suggesting aswell.

is it possible that the CGA (DL-1927) is dead ?
