Does anybody knows the purpose of this board?, looks like it's able to add extra RAM.

Some CPS-2 games used SIMMs (the same ones used for CPS-3). That’s the daughterboard for them.

Puzloop 2 and ProGear are the two games that spring to mind which used them.
