Cps2 game test config save question

Is there a way to permanently save the CPS2 Multikit game settings? If you save the game settings and run other games, the existing game settings will be reset.
Can I force-fix settings?
Example) Game Demo Sound Off -> Default Sound output on save

Is there a way to change the Game and the existing Game settings won't be initialized?

I have wanted to know if this is possible too. I have thought that at the very least it should be possible with a small modification to the rom. Interested to hear what people have to say on this.
