That looks like a ROM expansion daughterboard that sits on top of the B board for games that require it rather than a B board

I've never seen one that big though, I thought SSF2X was the largest game on CPS2 and its daughterboard is half that size

Capcom Sports Club came with a large one like that and is a treasure trove for eproms.

Yeah, there are 4 different memory expansion boards used on various CPS2 games, that one being the largest. When full of EPROMs, the cart weighs a ton.
