99% sure the neck of a Ducksan 29 inch monitor is cracked.

What do you do with a tube with a cracked neck? There's no saving it right? I was going to take the chassis and neck boards off and then dumb the tube. Anything else I should do or try? Feels like such a waste

If it's actually cracked, there's no saving the tube as the vacuum inside of it has been compromised.

You can save the chassis and even the yoke winding of the tube which can come in handy if you are able to source replacement tube for a tube swap, but that's about it, unfortunately.

Practically no, if the neck is cracked and the vacuum is gone the tube is junk. Heavy hazardous junk full of heavy metals

Technically yes, if its broken in a very specific area. There is at least one CRT wizard out there cutting off the neck, replacing the guns, refreshing the phosphor, restoring the vacuum and melting the neck back on. This is more like performance art than anything practical, but who knows in 5 years it may be mainstream. - I'll try and find a video
