Hi,
I wonder if it is possible to connect a proper CRT arcade monitor to the HAS Supergun?
I found two potential input indicated in the manual:

Arcade monitor connector has just R. G, B, CSync, and GND so I don't need +5v (?)

I just would like to know if it is possible and if anyone ever tried it. In case of positive answer I would like to try it. Tx

Yes. the best way would be to solder a 6-pin header. It can be a simple goldpin header, but I recommend a keyed type of connector, the JST XH or NH series. You can ignore the +5V pin because your monitor doesn't require it.

Ok, thanks for your advice. It would be great having the HAS working also with an arcade monitor.
I will put it in my arcade project list!

Just a test bench for when I work on the monitors out of the machine. From a few months back. Fucked my neck up and haven't been able to get much of anything done with screens.
Great! It sounds like what I have in mind to do: having a classic arcade psu system and use the HAS as a Jamma terminal station (instead to have a jungle of cables)

The JST connector is very cheap to purchase. Make sure you get a male and female set. You can find ones pre-crimped and just build an adapter and AMP UP connectors. I had a spare SEGA cable lying around, so I just adapter it.

I have some JST ready to go!
Is the second picture a power on/off switch for the monitor? That is a good idea!

Second photo is a degauss switch. Third is the power switch which terminates to the AMP UP connector on monitor.
Nice option the degauss switch. I will have the Degauss disconnected as I will mount an arcade chassis on a consumer tube… probably I will for a degauser wand, but it would be cool if I could wire my pending cables to a switch+degauser

It's actually the correct size for the mounting holes in the monitor frame. I have one that could work as an illuminated power switch as well. Degauss is just a momentary switch.
