CRT showing grainy horizontal line scrolling up

Hi there,

First time post but I'm having an issue with my CPS3 and CPS2 on my arcade machine when connecting RCA cables to the audio out. When connecting to my amp the sound works but I get a very faint grainy line scrolling up through out use. However when I disconnect the amp and or RCA cables the scrolling line goes away.

does anyone know what this is and why it's happening? Can it be fixed?

If it only happens when you use the stereo connectors from the. CPS2/3, then it sounds like a ground loop. Consider adding a cheap RCA ground loop isolator.
