Demon Front Cartridge - Does not boot

Hi,

Unfortunately, another one of the cartridges I bought that is also not working is Demon Front, probably my most anticipated game.

Got this one from eBay, from a seller in Korea (retroacade). I have opened a dispute and I'm currently chatting with the vendor to see what can be done.

The problem I have is that the game does not get past the date/time screen, but it gives some cryptic error at the bottom of the screen. (kindly see attached photo for details).

I have cleaned the contacts thoroughly but nothing changed.

Any ideias?

Unfortunately not at this time... I have another one, but it seems to be busted

I have opened another thread about it.

But if it helps, I have other games that work well on this motherboard.

Clean the edges and push the power up to 5.1v (but do it in steps)? That seems to help issues with the conversion carts, but I've never seen that error before, usually just garbled sound or graphics.

Quick update on this topic.
The seller was kind enough to send me a replacement copy that is fully working.
He also did not want me to return the original cartridge, so I'll dig into it and try to repair it later.

I'll be absent for a few months as I'm moving to another country, but when I pick this project up again I'll come back here.

He also did not want me to return the original cartridge, so I'll dig into it and try to repair it later.

I'll be absent for a few months as I'm moving to another country, but when I pick this project up again I'll come back here.

To be honest my attention got diverted to other stuff and as I've been sent a replacement cart I never touched the other one again.

Nonetheless, happy to test anything you'd like if it helps you troubleshoot.
