Down scaler with X2

I am interested in picking up a type x2 to use in my Aero city cab with a vga to cga down scaler. How bad will the picture quality down scaled look on a 15khz monitor? Looking to use this converter as the UltraCade uvc converter rarely comes up for sale.

Stumbled across a pic of a TTX2 15khz mod, but no info. Anyone have any info on this?

That would be something Joerg (Arcademodbios) did, I don't know if anyone purchased it to investigate what exactly he did to make it work. Likely hacked drivers and another video card (looks like some kind of daisy-chaining going on).

With how popular the X2 is I am surprised no one has come up with something similar to the UltraCade UVC?

This isn't exactly apples to apples, but I messed around with my X2 on a JVC BM via Corio2 scaler and I thought it looked excellent.

I know these are very difficult to find but Taito did make a down scaler specifically for X2.
I've uploaded a scan of the manual and added some missing pre-settings information on the Arcade Otaku wiki page: TAITO up down scan converter
It's the same board that came with the Vewlix JAMA kit but also came with a Taito JVS IO in the X2 kit.
