I don't agree with that, but I stay in Tokyo. You know while in Japan virtually every arcade I went into... If they had a CRT cab period it was a E2 or E3.
Zero Blast City, Aero City, Astro City, I did see a New Net however ONE.
I was in Tokyo... The Sega arcades don't even have JAMMA games period (I was beyond disappointed)!I don't agree with that, but I stay in Tokyo. It's 99% Blast City cabs here, unless you're at Hey!
I honestly think it only affects Americans. I've been here 10+ years now, and never met a single person that has this, and its never mentioned in the media here. So no - I don't think it affects even 1% of 1% of the people here.Yea the arcades are cool, but the food was awful for me (what has no asian person has ever had a gluten allergy
So you only went to Akihabara? To one Sega arcade? And they all suck? That's like going to Times Square, and saying NYC sucks.. Too many tourists, and I hate McDonalds food. There are literally dozens and dozens of Sega arcades across Tokyo, and each one has wildly different setups. The one closest to my house has 6 BC cabs with a rotating list of games.
Right around the corner from that first pic you took is the Sega Museum (3 min walk?). On the 6th, 7th, and 8th floors they have a vintage arcade museum with dozens of games and deluxe cabs from the early 80s to the late 90s. On the other side of the station is the Natsuge Museum, and they have arcade games and cabs that you will never see anywhere else. Rarest of the rare, and anyone is invited in to play.

Anyhow, I've been to almost 100 arcades across the country, and done write ups of quite a few here:

You can look at interior pics that I've taken and count cabs. I still say Egrets are some of the rarest, unless you want to count Ponys, Mini cutes, or some of the cabs that had tiny production runs like the Mega-Lo.
Yea this 100%, I never expected it and I wouldn't have believed it unless I experienced it first hand.I would have thought Japan would be better for that, I thought rice is a major thing there.
Soy sauce having wheat in it is a major PITA when it comes to Japanese food (celiac here too).@jassin000 celiac? My wife has it and it really sucks. Waiting to find out whose immune system my 11 mo old daughter inherits mine or hers. I would have thought Japan would be better for that, I thought rice is a major thing there.
"can I just have you put that on a grill for a sec, no seasoning, no breading, just the meat still bleeding?"
That was pork, not steak. I've never seen anywhere that serves steak like that. Steak is too expensive to do that to, and as you said it would be seen as ruined. Eat raw pork, and you're gonna get intestinal worms. I believe the wait staff were protecting you from yourself by not serving it undercooked... lol.Steak rolled in panko breading, then deep fried is also a perfect way to ruin it.
Have you tried tamari soy sauce? That's little to no wheat. Granted, requesting that in a restaurant in Japan (or anywhere) is impossible.Soy sauce having wheat in it is a major PITA when it comes to Japanese food (celiac here too).@jassin000 celiac? Oh yeah, always keep wheat free tamari on hand, I can cook or do just about anything at home with a little creativity. It's traveling and eating out that's tricky.Have you tried tamari soy sauce?
