Just a personal project for now. Varying wiring across my different cabs poses a problem. So this does a few things to get them all up running the same:
  1. Allows for a voltmeter to be added to the harness (duhhh)
    • As these voltmeters are all slightly different, I've added cutouts to allow the wire to pass through to be soldered to the JAMMA edge card pins on either end
    • Additionally, some of these voltmeters have calibration pots
      • The cutouts allow for calibration of the meter while in circuit
  2. Allows for the addition of Dimension Engineering's Negatron with some jumpering via solder blobs
    • For those cabs that don't have -5vdc at all
    • Allows for cab's -5vdc power rail to be bypassed and to use the Negatron's -5vdc for those finicky PCB's (KIller Instinct)
    • Or just allows for normal -5vdc operation from the PSU
  3. Allows for button 4 & 5 to be wired into the JAMMA edge connector for those cabs that are traditional JAMMA (buttons 1-3 only)
    • The US guys can use the superior Sega I/O's now
    • Also allows for a much tidier kick harness wiring
      • The kick harness only has to be a few inches long and doesn't have to run all the way through to the CP
I am contemplating adding a CHAMMA switch (though the arcade snob in me doesn't like the idea) and making accommodations for MVS. But what do you guys think?
