Thanks for the comment man! im little versed in this topic, what do you mean by b+?
B+ is the DC power supply for the chassis. There will be a place to test it pretty much on every chassis. Some are adjustable, some auto adjust. If it's no where close to what it's supposed to be then you have a problem.

You mentioned you have a wei ya so you could search your chassis model and b+ test point to find more info.

First of all i want to thank you guys for your support and opinions.

My next task is to restore the speaker part with Retrobrite, could you guys give me some tips oas how to do it properly?

This is my current workplan for this item.

1 - Take down the part.
2 - Cleaning very well with natural soap-
3 - Rub retrobrite lightly on the whole pice.
4 - Wrap it in stretch film and let it 8 hours minimun in the sun light.
5 - Remove film and clean it again with natural soap.

Thanks!

Juan

retrobrite isn't really a product... there are several recipes now for it. I recommend using a coagulant to make it thicker. People are also saying they are having good success just using the 40 vol bleach. However, the other stuff makes it easier to apply and keep it there. The problem with sun is that it moves and is not super consistent. Shadows and clouds and dust and stuff get in the way. I've tried using a blacklight bulb to do it as well... which is good because it's entirely consistent but bad because the UV output is not as strong as the sun's energy. So if you do it with bulbs I would recommend leaving it for like 24-48 hours.

Ultimately you may need to do many applications of the retrobrite to get any kind of acceptable response on the new astro city speaker housings. Another thing I've seen done is people do paint them.

I just left mine unrestored... I don't mind the look too much once they're yellowed.

Hello guys!

Ive been super busy with work but managed to do some little things on the cab, the next steps to do are:

  1. Get the cashbox door open, the freakin lock has no key and i will have to drill it to snap it out of the door.
  2. Get a new coin insert as mine is missing.
  3. build a stereo wiring to use stereo sound with CPS2 and CPS3 systems.
  4. New full wiring harness.
  5. full deep clean.
  6. New paint.
  7. New art.
last week i was notice that the company i'm working for wanted me to transfer to another city so the full body restoration will have to wait until June at least.

What kind of lock is it? You might be able to pick it or even just rake it faster than drilling. with a lot less noise, heat, and garbage to clean up.

Co signed. The tubular lock picks are super easy these days.
