Is there an issue with the weight. They mention a modification on the site. Not sure what they mean, but in the end do they work?
couldn't tell you that but I bought a shit load of these about 4 years back. https://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/pack-of-20-x-23mm-brass-flat-tokens.html decent weight and they run through my any coin mech no probs. They look terrible though.

This shop on AliExpress ( https://www.aliexpress.com/store/1100219482?spm=a2g0o.store_pc_groupList.pcShopHead_2001855217615.0 ) was selling MVS tokens for a while there but the listing is gone now. think it was either 20 or 50 for £8... can't remember but wish I'd picked some up when I saw them.

EDIT:
just had a quick look for tokens and there's an absolute shed load of them AliExpress.... if you're not too fussed about what's on them. https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-game-token-metal.html?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20230110134849&SearchText=game+token+metal&spm=a2g0o.productlist.1000002.0&dida=y

EDIT#2:

looks like I just couldn't find the MVS coins on AliExpress. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...00028670794622!sea&curPageLogUid=kfZdyJHyJEZE

They work fine. Usually all these repro ones are magnetic so they get stuck because there is a magnet in the coin mech. You just have to unscrew it to remove it.

Instead of removing the magnet, I recommend flipping it and inserting it back in so you don't lose it. You can always revert it this way if necessary as well.

i just read thru this whole thread and i dont see anyone adressing this so il point this out for anyone who is looking. the gateninety sega and capcom tokens work in regular mechs with some adjustment and removal of magnets, but the taito ones will NOT fit thru a conventional 100 yen coin mech i bought a couple hundred or so of them and they are visibly bigger. Ps added pics

Correct, you can flip it around and screw it back in.

I had a similar issue with the arcade tokens I got. Just bought one of these https://arcadeplastics.com/any-coin-mech and never looked back.

just got my order of 300 of those AliExpress MVS coins/tokens through and compared to the 100 Yen coins I have, they're pretty damn close to them.

FYI: these are all the MVS coins. they're 100 on 1 side and MVS on the other.

They're pretty damn great. 👍
Best bang for your buck, glad I could help.

They look good. I do wonder however what the legalities are cloning one side of a 100 yen coin?

regardless I'm glad I got them before that kind of thing catches up with them.

Theres a few differences between them and a 100Y coin but to the untrained eye, they could very well pass if you're not paying attention. even in my hand the weight seems similar. prob wildly out on scales though.

I got a batch from Ali Express. They feel and look great. They work fine in my NAC with an OG ¥100 coin mech. Like others have said, I’d grab some before they can’t be made anymore.
