Hello there...not sure why but the Analogue Super NT is all over the place price wise on eBay.. if you picked up a NeoGeo AES USA/Jap system for a good price and want to trade, send me a PM.

the analogue super NT is like new, I used it to test on a PC CRT and LCD a few times, the thing is like new and comes with everything that’s in the original box,m..treading, for I am in need for an AES system.

Seems the official Analogue website is out of Super NT's so perhaps that's why the price is going up on ebay. Hope they don't make this a trend of following in Nintendos footsteps by making artificial scarcity. Luckily I already have a Super NT but I have been putting off getting a Mega SG. This has spooked me to consider a purchase while they still have stock of those left.

I finished the inside of the stick, and will do the basic RGB bypass mod and recap on the console next. Just for your information: the stick can use LS-56 microswitches and an LS-58 spring for a new feel. Also, if you want to take out the buttons and replace them you can reuse the metal plate to hold them in place on the back, although you'll have to stuff something inside the small gap between the top and sides of the microswitch and the metal as its not 100% snug. I also replaced the start and select microswitches, but didn't have to do anything extra to make them fit because they can snap in all the way. I also used quick disconnects on everything and used a DB15 terminal inside. I made a male end for the original Neo cable as well. The reason I did this was so if I could work on it easier in the future without having to desolder and resolder ever again.

As for the console, it is a revision 6, so I will do the basic RGB bypass, LED install, and possibly a recap.

If I see another cheap AES next time I shop (which will be soon) I will let you know. I saw one for 27,000 that looked decent. You'd have to wait a hot minute for me to ship though because JP Post doesn't ship to the US right now and there is no close alternative. By the time I'm done for the day FedEx is closed lol.

Edit: Actually, I think JP Post will send packages to the US by sea lol

Awesome.. please let me know if you can help source one. I am not interested in the original joystick because I think that they are uncomfortable based on the size and layout. RGB mod would be great to use with Euro Scart cable. Thanks for offering..

if you have the money just do it.. don’t open it when you get it just in case that you change your mind:)
 
I'll keep an eye out for a console only. Most come with the stick, but I'll just keep it for myself in that case lol. I have fun working on them. I built two for my friends to use on Fightcade. I needed buddies to play with that don't destroy me with their first character lol.

Is the original stick comfortable to use? When I look at the buttons angle, it looks like a nightmare in actual play.
 
I was in Akihabara Sunday and saw one (with stick, which I understand you don't want) for 25,000 jpy.

As for shipping, while JP won't ship large packages to the U.S., Yamato will. I imagine it'd probably be around 5,000 - 6,500 jpy shipping. Just a guess. Only extra requirement it has over JP is requirement of a phone number.

But I've used Yamato this summer to send things to the U.S. and everything has arrived within 6 calendar days.
 
After changing out the parts of the original stick I'm pretty happy. I mostly use my main stick (Allfightsticks case, Brook UFB and Retro Boards plus DB15 output wired just for Neo) for extended sessions, but I find myself using the Neo stick more and more.

Before changing out the parts though I didn't care too much for it. I also built one using the original buttons, but I changed out the microswitches below them. That one worked good too, but it went to one of the brothers that runs the game store. I prefer the feeling of the buttons replaced entirely, but some gerry rigging is required to make them stay snug as they are not a perfect fit. I used thick paper and taped it in there for the time being. I will 3D print something at my brother's place next time I visit home for a better solution. Folkes on YouTube never reuse the metal plate and just let their buttons spin circles in the case (looking at you sparklesprites or whatever the hell your name is...you annoy me).They also never seem to realize that switching the spring and microswitches in the stick is possible; just because the EXACT part isn't available isn't for purchase doesn't mean you can't find something that will work. I found that LS58 springs and micro switches work great and drop right in.

I did the cable different than most people, because I'm constantly playing around inside my sticks. Soldering the buttons would just create more work for me in the future. I did however make my own cable using the original Neo one that way I could reuse the SNK labeled plug plus the piece that sits between both piece of plastic on the stick body (cable isn't pictured here). If someone wasn't picky about reusing the SNK plug then they could just use whatever DB15 cable they wanted.

The only reason I built up this stick was for revenge. I made a really ghetto one like six years ago when I was still listening to retards on YouTube.

I was just there on Friday. I finally got around to ordering a new stereo receiver from Yodobashi. I almost picked up that Hori Neo stick that Trader had, but I decided against it as I'm already pushing my luck with the wife over closet space.

From the YouTubers that I watched, my understanding is that tourists are driving up the prices of retro games in that area. It was recommended to hit up areas outside Tokyo. I can not blame them because retrogaming here in my area Chantilly/USA is crazy expensive.. I wanted to get a few SNES games a while back and i could not justify paying the going rate, I only have a handful of SNES games..luckily, I purchased a lot of NES games a while back which is my favorite console. I also, purchased a good amount of sega genesis game from the same seller.. The seller had a collection of Turbo/PC engine but he was not willing to part with those:(
 
Yeah normally the prices are artificially high there as it's such a tourist trap. However, my last two trips I've been the only white dude walking around and had the stores practically all to myself. The selection of consoles right now is the best I've ever seen. I really had to stop myself from going crazy and ask the important question of "will I actually use this?" several times. Unfortunately, storage space is a key deciding factor over here.

There are good deals to be found outside of Tokyo, for example the BookOff! by my house has a Super Famicom with two controllers for 2,100 yen right now, and most of the unboxed games are 100-400 yen and boxed games 2,000 yen and under. However, you have to have a car in order to visit a lot of these shops and they aren't exactly located in areas worth visiting if you are on vacation. I mean, that is unless you are really into taking pictures of flavorless 1980s apartment buildings and power lines. As far as rarer systems are concerned, I haven't seen them in any shops outside of Tokyo. Pretty sure people just sell them online these days.
