Hello everyone! Looking to buy a main board (preferably not multi) for Sega System 32. It can have the ROM board but doesn't need it.

For context: I've got SegaSonic the Hedgehog but I'm not getting video or sound, sent my board in to irepairsega (couldn't recommend him enough!!); we're pretty sure it's the main board but stumped otherwise and are short on working boards to swap and test. So now I'm looking to buy another Sega System 32 board, any board (the game can suck, that'd be preferable).

if you do find one, and don't need the faulty one i can try fix it or it can help revive another game i have. It's frustrating how all the lesser system 32 have all been converted to segasonic. System 18 is hard to find too at a reasonable price. Do u mind if i ask what game you have?
 
Haha, funny enough, SegaSonic. But it's an original, not a conversion. Of course, if I found a doner main board, then I guess I would still be converting it to SegaSonic... I saw an F1 Exhaust Note on YJA sell for $450 the other day. Starting to think that might just be the cost to play System 32 in 2023...
 
you should change the battery on yours if you havent done so already. Its time where all segasonic batteries are dying.
 
I have, it's not an issue with the battery or encryption sadly. My best guess is one of the custom ICs on the board is dying, and unless someone is reverse engineering those, I don't think the board is coming back without donor parts.
 
There are other customs on it that can help others. Did you try check for lifted pins on surface mounts?
