Why a Capcom I/O? They're overpriced, and laggy.
Ease of hooking up. Especially for 6-button fighting.

They really that laggy ? I mean pretty much every MVC2 set up in the states probably ran a capcom I/O during its heyday, and I'd think those players would spot lagginess....
Thanks all, I was able to find a Rev.A Sega Jamma IO earlier today for $50. Included a set Naomi feet too!

Yea, The Capcom I/O responds to input requests with the button states at the time of the previous request. So if a game polls for inputs once per frame, your button inputs will always be read at least one frame behind.
Its also one of the slowest I/Os to respond to input requests, especially if you have the V1 Capcom I/O.
it's good to see some stuff still selling for reasonable prices!
