Selling my 2 Blast Cities to help pay for a move/new house. As much as it pains me to do it, they just don’t get enough play to justify the struggle of packing them up and moving them to the new spot and the money could definitely come in handy right now. I’ll likely get Vewlixs when I’m all settled in.

Both machines are clean and in working condition but have their share of cosmetic dings and signs of use (pictures to illustrate and I’ll describe here). Both have Tri-sync monitors. Both have all their doors and will come with a set of keys. They have been in a smoke-free house for the past decade.

I also have a bunch of boards that I plan to sell (will take care of that separately once these are out of the way) but anyone who buys a machine will have first crack at good prices (Naomi w/ NetDIMM, CPS3 Multi, Killer Instinct 2, etc.). Also have an extra 2P, 4-button Neo style control panel that I’ll include for anyone who wants it as well as a 2P, 6-button OEM panel (very beaten up).

These are for LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY in Raleigh, NC. No exceptions so don’t ask. Trying to keep these relatively in the area and if I had the time and the wherewithal to palletize these to ship out, I would just keep them myself.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Blast #1 – Very minor burn and geometry issues (the Tri-syncs are nigh impossible to dial in perfectly, especially after 30 years). Has a 2P, 6 button populated Alberto panel currently installed. There’s some sticker residue on both of the side panels, the “Blast City” side sticker strips have some scuffing and there are several small holes drilled in to the base from when it was a US Bass Fishing cab that got converted (mounts for the fishing rod). The marquee light does not work (I replaced the bulb at one point so it's an electrical issue that I was never able to diagnose).
I have a Super Turbo marquee in it currently but have held on to the original Blast City marquee if you’d like that as well. Overall in terrific cosmetic shape, has a great picture and is better than anything you're going to find coming off a boat in 2025. $2500
Blast #2 - This one has a little more wear and tear but still works like a charm. Has slightly more burn towards the bottom of the monitor though it’s not noticeable unless you get a pure white screen and has more noticeable geometry issues. There is sticker residue on the monitor itself. I’ve gone at it with a couple of different electronics-safe cleaning agents over the years but haven’t been able to get it off. It’s not noticeable when playing (which is why it never particularly bothered me) but is when light shines on it while turned off.
The lock to the coin box is broken and will likely need to be drilled out. The locks on the control panel are currently removed (for easy access to the control board and the monitor panel) but I have them and will include them. Has a 2P, 6 button populated Alberto panel. Currently has a MvC2 repro marquee but I have the original Blast City one if needed. Marquee light does work on this one.
$2200
That’s a tough decision, but sounds like a solid plan! Those Blast Cities look like a steal, especially with the extras. Hope the move goes smoothly, and good luck finding those Vewlixs!
Yeah... I'll probably never get any more CRT cabs at this point in my life (as much as I love the look and the hum and the glow, I'm sweating bullets every time I power them on at this point) so it hurts to finally let these go but it's for the best. The cash is gonna pay for getting the house in shape to sell and the thought of moving these around while we're working on the house/waiting for it to sell/getting them to the next place just gives me heartburn.
