I need to clear some stuff out to make room and to gather some extra cash to finish setting up my CNC machine. So to that end I am listing some stuff. I am posting it here exclusively for now then if there's no interest then I will list it on KLOV, facebook, and local forums.

For sale is an Atomiswave motherboard with I/O card and kick harness cables. This will boot and play games but the sound and fan do not work. I was told that the two are tied to the same circuit and once the fan works the sound should come back. I don't have the time to repair it soooo it's for sale to someone who can repair it!

$65 USD shipped (in the contenental US .. anywhere else PM me) firm. (Unless you got something cool in trade .. PM with what ya have in mind .. don't ask me what I am looking for because the list is too long) PayPal only please.

Actually, sound does work, it's the amp that doesn't. I put an incompatible fan in mine (a Sunon), it couldn't read the tachometer signal, so it shutdown the audio amp. I just tapped the sound before the amp for line level stereo.

yeah it is true about the fan resulting in no audio
Not so true replacing the fan will restore sound. There seems to be something else involved (fan fault memorised somewhere?).
I've replaced many AW fans and it's a kind of 50/50 chance of sound recovery.

The workaround is to tie the tachymeter signal to ground.

Tach signal to ground as Apoc states. I ended up changing out a dead fan and dead amp in one given to me. The amp was truly dead, not due to the tach. I believe the person that gave it too me either slipped the JAMMA harness or plugged it in backwards.

Yes correct, if you replace the fan with a type with 3 wires you have to tie the yellow to groud as well, otherwise sound is still dead
