Finally got this board home recently, along with a bunch of other boards I bought late 2019/early 2020. They were stuck in Japan due to "The C Word".
I won it for just ¥10,000, of course listed as "junk".
Tried it just now and I get the above error. Actually, I should have made note of the error, that number may have been 77.
Is this a ROM error? I have noticed that one of the long, thin resistor thingies seems to be broken in half. I was hoping this might just be that resistor that is the issue. Are these easily bought still?
Strangely, there were 2 other errors the first time it booted, it kept cycling through the ROM/RAM check. They only showed an error the first time, but were fine every other time. The Parodius DLX Pack was one of my first Saturn games I bought in mid 1995. Played it to death! Love this game so much. I am hoping that this is an easy fix.
Oh, there is a snapped off filter cap broken off the ROM board as well. I did not think that would cause a failure though. Just don't have any 330uf caps of the right voltage right now.
