Hey all!
Thought I would stop by and say hi.
A lot of you may know me from various places already but here's a little about me for those who don't. I've always love gaming and arcade machines since I saw a Space Invaders cocktail cabinet in a hotel in Blackpool when I was about five or so. I didn't get as much exposure to arcades as I would have liked to growing as there was nothing local to me but I relished every opportunity to get a game on a machine which was typically when I went swimming or when I was on holiday with my parents.
FFW a few years and started to get into arcade gaming after discovering MAME and I ended up buying a X-arcade joystick (lol) before later building a MAME cabinet for a college project
I ended up selling them and buying my first real arcade cabinet which was a Lordsvale Playscene cabinet. I then sold that and bought a couple of Naomi cabs in 2009. I've since sold that and I now have a modest collection of candy cabs, PCBs, consoles and games.
I'm a hands on type of guy and I love messing about with arcade stuff. Most of the time I enjoy working on hardware/cabs more than playing on games but I try to get a few games in where I can. I'm not too bad with an iron and some basic electronics but a lot of it is a black art to me, although I'm always looking to learn where I can.
Anyway, I'm pleased to be here and I hope to contribute where possible. I've got the STV and CPS2 multis which are great. I can't wait to see what else darksoft & co come up with. Keep it up guys
