Hello,

Quick intro, i am getting old passionate guy of retro gaming, specially restoration, related to home consoles (Nintendo, Sega, Atari, etc..)

Quite new to the aracde world, i hope to find the same energy with you all to expand my discovery addiction into this new world!

Welcome!

One of the most important parts of this is which SuperGun you are getting for your PCB use!

If you're running them in a cab, please share what you have, we love seeing other members' setups and of course pictures are great too!

Currently i am still stuck with small CRT, no cab yet (no space and no money 😂).

Using the shogun supergun, with a MV1FZ slot.

The place is a real mess, until i fix things up, i'll share some photos.

No problem, CRTs are the best anyway! I think the small ones look really good too!

How does it feed the CRT, RGB or something else? Is Tunisa on PAL?

Indeed RGB, through scart, and PAL system. Tunisia is Mainly on french standards.
Most of my consoles work that way.

I am still struggeling to fix since 2 year a faulty PVM i have to enjoy at best the gameplay, but i am still trying to find rhe right people to help me do it.

Welcome! You are in the right place for arcade awesomeness and Pvm persistence.

Europe had it right with RGB-SCART right from the start. USA was there too with component. Here in the South Pacific we got RF and composite (svideo was top of the range).

I’m a fellow PVM lover, have had my share of repairs over the years. Looking forward to hearing what you’re up to!

Great to hear that!

So for my pvm, it's a 20m2e model.
Came 2 years ago with few issues, 3 rgb horizontal lines collaps on top, and some display issues.
fixed that with some recap and minor calibration. (Reference was Retro Tech on youtube)
Worked like a charm. Few weeks later was playing my snes, and suddenly the display disappeared. Still hearing the sound.
I underline that it's only the input. The menu shows just fine and clean.
Tried rgb, component, composite, s video, with different sources and cables, nothing seems to be fed to the monitor.

Asked a lot of people, including Savonpat, but whithout result.

It'either the rear pannel (which is unlikley to fail completely) or some decoding chip in the chassis.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm no expert (Pat truly is!), but I'll state the basics, review your cap work, look for cold solder joints, burned components, etc.

Someone here may be able to help down that road, but I know those PVMs look great when working, but are a pain when not!

i'am not an expert neither, and i hope it fires up again.
Already double triple checked regular rework areas. nothing unusual.
i will create a new thread may be i'll catch someone who does know what to diagnse properly.
