At this point of the game, I would save that money and wait and see.. the Alienware 34” OLED monitor is priced right and I don’t think it would take that long for Alienware to have a 32” 16:9 version at that price range.

On this forum, I'm reading the same comments as for the first group buy.

All I can say is that all people who took part in the previous group buy are super happy with the quality of the monitor and sent me e-mails to tell me how it was better than their Vewlix DIA Black monitor.
Personally, I replaced an old Vewlix F monitor with this, so of course it was like day and night.

I already know that people not interested in keeping their cabinet original, people who don't care about the ease of installation and people who always go for the cheapest way won't buy this and will mount a PC monitor in their cabinet.

These monitors are expensive and lack the performance/high refresh/freesync support of other less expensive 32" PC gaming monitors.

Also the resolution of 1080p, this will produce cut-off screens at 5x output from OSSC...
You should want 1440p, to support 1600x1200 (true uncropped 5x mode).

No hate directed towards the OP of this post, but I highly recommend against purchasing.
Repeat: Its a waste of money (expensive) and less capable then other options (ie @Hadouken Arcade universal mounting bracket + LG LCD + OSSC).

Best use of the official Taito family LCDs... (snicker)

Haha, you can't help it, can you?

I was just posting for people who are interested. Which is obviously not your case.

Can you imagine that there are people who don't think like you and prefer to use original arcade hardware?

It's the same with a car, you can repair it using more expensive original parts or use other cheaper parts.
Everyone is entitled to his opinion, but recommending not to buy is really having a closed mind.

I'm doing this as a service, but next time I won't even post on this forum, if it's to read stuff like this, it's not worth it.

Yes I can, and thats the only thing these monitors have going for them (ie they ARE official Taito hardware).

I would say the same to someone seeking Taito's Official JAMMA kit.
Its expensive (over 1000$ used as production ended years ago) and less capable than other JAMMA solutions.
Some will want it for no other reason than its official, and thats good because no other reason to own one exists. ;)

Post wherever you please (aka why should you give a fuck what I think if you don't agree) but far as services go... What service?
Taito sells these, anyone who would like one can buy it without any help from you (I did this 6 years ago).

The only thing you can offer is a discount on shipping by grouping a large order together (Taito parts division offers no quantity discounts).
Of course you'll still need to ship them from your location to buyers, so I can't even see the discount being very substantial. *shrug*

Sorry but this is wrong.

You haven't read the original post. The service is the group buy (lower price).

Contact Taito and ask for the price of a single unit, and you will see that the offered price here is a lot cheaper (between 25 and 30%).
This is not bought from Taito part's division but through someone I know there who have a higher position at the company, hence the discount on quantity.
Our company have a long relationship with Taito.
The discount is on the monitors, not the shipment, as they are shipped individually from Japan.

It's also specified that units ordered by people in the USA will be shipped straight from Japan to their location (avoiding the cost of Japan -> Europe -> USA shipping).
We also requested extra packaging, because if you bought a monitor from Taito's part division in the past, you already know *how well* it is originally packaged, and you know you're lucky when they are not damaged in transport.

Of course, I don't have to care about what you say, but I'm open-minded and like to listen to other's opinions. It doesn't mean that I have to approve. I'm not trying to convince you that I'm right and that you're wrong. Everybody uses his arcade cabinets the way he wants. I like to keep things original, these are the monitors used at Taito Hey and I like to have the same experience at home. I use only original modern arcade hardware in my Vewlix (I have an Astro City and a Naomi for older stuff) so I don't use OSSC. I understand that you don't have the same needs, but I don't see the point of shitting in someone else's thread just for the sake of it.

The Alienware is curved though. I'm not sure why they would come out with a flat 32" OLED.
I placed an order for the 34” OLED and the demand is high and I got back order for May 15. That’s due to the price point and yes shortage and what’s going on in the world but still.. I don’t think it would be long for other manufacturers to jump on that “new panel tech”.

As for the Taito monitors, I don’t see LCDS IPS monitors as original arcade hardware. But I am not telling anyone how to spend their money and what to like..I am recommending to wait and I appreciate the post.

This is a LED monitor, not the LCD IPS equipping the Vewlix Diamond cabinets. It is offered as a monitor upgrade/replacement by Taito and was released after the DIA Black.
Arcade hardware evolves like the rest. The good thing here is that it's a plug n'play drop-in replacement by the original manufacturer. Installation is done in 10 minutes.

Thanks for clarifying..My point is that LCD or LED picture quality is not that much of a difference when compared to an OLED.

Oh yes, I totally agree. I'm waiting for OLED TVs to be cheaper to replace the LED TV in our living room. Before, I was using a Plasma TV and colors felt more natural and the blacks actually black. It was such a disappointment when I moved and had to switch to a LED TV. Especially because of the gray blacks. Both were Panasonic TVs which is a good brand. I wish Plasma TVs would have still being sold until OLED technology was ready.

Your additional posts do help clarify some more. Have you already secured sufficient quantity to give the price shown?

I had thought this was the exact monitor that is in the diamond black and was wondering if anyone had personal experience going for blue to black.

It's worth noting that EXA recommends this display as having the lowest latency of all the bolt-on/plug-n-play options: https://exa.ac/en/2019/02/19/inputlag/?v=0f177369a3b7

Nomax, thanks for offering this to the forum, it's very much appreciated despite the thread crapping. Perhaps @Mitsurugi-w can help out with that as I believe it is against the rules.
