Hi everyone, and apologies if I make mistakes when expressing myself in English, but I have an excuse, I'm French, you know, the snail eaters ;)
I've developed an expensive passion for Neo Geo, reason why I concentrate my purchases in mvs only. I own a few cabs, snk u4, home made u4 bartop (with mvs slot), Nintendo PlayChoice10 Super Deluxe, quite uncommon Lucky Gum (from Belgium) and recently acquired @Apocalypse Big Red Pacific. I haven't counted recently but I guess my mvs collection should be around 40-45 carts, some loose, some FK.
Shmup and gun games are my things but I also enjoy old mame games such as Ghost'n Goblins, Galaga, Double Dragon or Shinobi.
Like many of us here, I have many consoles, ps1, nes, snes, N64, Sega MDII, Wii, Dreamcast, Saturn, PCE
Cheers from the French Alps,

Welcome!

Nice collection you have there! Im fine with the snails, French food is one of my favorites. I was looking forward to being in France next week but had to cancel my trip. Looking forward to going in the next few months if the pandemic doesnt make things worse.

Thanks for your nice comments @Derick2k and @kikaso
Yeah, I like my growing collection but it's an expensive passion and you need lots of space!
I had started retrogaming by building a DIY euro cab with a PC for emulation with thousands of games. Beginner's mistake, you always want to emulate more and at the end of the day play always the same games that you can count on your fingers. So I sold it and it triggered the acquisition of the snk u4 that I really love. The screen is just fantastic with heavy scanlines, very sharp and colourful.

Welcome. So nice to see that cab over in Europe! How do you like the MCA sticks? They’re a big part of our childhoods over in the part of the world.

Thanks for the welcome @djsheep. To be fair, it's probably the only Australian Neo Geo cab in Europe. Well, those MCA sticks are very different from the japanese ones I'm used to, not as precise but I quite like the handling. They remind me of our old Euro cabs.

Extremely short throw, but a little too “mushy”. They are indestructible though, I’ve seen kids try to kick them off cabs when I was young and they just never ever break. Beautiful piece you have, and sourced from a great dude too.

It was a double take for me, I have a new great cab and a new friend, I can only concur with the "great dude".
Since you seem to know the cab pretty well, this is a kiwi version and the side panels are plain red, I haven't seen any trace of glue or faded red, which leads me to think it never had any sticker.
In your memories did the aussie version have Neo Geo stickers? Any idea where I could find some kind of documentation?

The Coin Cascade and LAI (Australian) cabs are a fairly similar (or even the same) build, but there are some differences, most noticeably the "Coin Cascade" type on the Control Panel. The internals of yours look very similar to my 4-Slot, credit board and all -- is your credit board a Leisure Allied Industries (LAI) one?

The Aussie LAI cab's did indeed have stickers on the side. I own (and love) the small LAI 25" 4-slot cab and there's a big red rectangle "Neo Geo" sticker on each side. Mine thankfully were in-tact but you rarely see them in good condition after all these years of operation and it's definitely not uncommon to see them removed.

There's an old school operator I know who might have NOS stickers and I could ask for you. I bought one off him a year or so ago. If not, it would be a very easy one to reproduce as it's just the Neo Geo text on a red background to match the cab colour. Parts for these cabs come up for sale on AussieArcade.com from time-to-time, you should definitely share your story and video over there, I know they'd get a kick out of it!

Yes, the credit board is a Leisure & Allied, accepting NZ 50c, 1$ and 2$ coins.

Well, if it came without side stickers, I will leave it as is, but thanks for proposing the NOS stickers.
And thanks also for the advice for AussieArcade.com, will definitely create an accout and share my story.
