Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself as this community is an awesome resource -specifically for Candy Cab info. I finally realized my dream of owning one, but soon found out that a lot of work would be necessary to get the cab into a condition that would be suitable for home use. There are several Blast City restore threads that I've found invaluable.

I own 1 PCB (Raiden) and a Mister FPGA outfitted with the mistercade jamma adapter for use in a cab. (Its awesome and I'd be glad to share any tips with interested parties)

I'm in the Pittsburgh PA area and my favorite types of games are the vertical shmups - Hence the name: Justin Shmup Noob/JSN

Welcome! I currently have our Blast set in tate for vertical shmups! It's a great cabinet for vertical shooters. If you have a Blast, post some sexy pics! ;)

I will. Should have posted my progress but I’m doing a deep clean. Put some new buttons in and cleaned up the old sanwa jlf sticks. Maybe one day I’ll repaint but its not too terrible, although a bit “used”

I’m torn between a TATE setup which will benefit me the most, or YOKO which will be more fun when people come over. I know the real answer is to have one of each, but that’s not really an option for me right now.

Also just put some new speakers in, recapped sound amp. PSU would be next but it’s working now and that’s also in rough shape so I will avoid tampering until something breaks or I find a spare.

So much to talk about! Can’t wait.

Welcome to arcade projects, the friendliest and most interesting corner of the internet I’ve seen since about 1995. Looking forward to following your restore progress!
