Hey there, I'm Stewart from the Sacramento area and I'm 23 years old. I have always loved arcades, even though they were all but dead by the time I gained an interest, finding a pizza store with a few old time machines was always one of my favorite things. My first real introduction to videogames though was the SNES and a strange game based on the Troll line of dolls. Even though it was an awful game, I spent hours playing it and loved every second. Since then I have amassed a small collection of old and new games, ranging from 2600 and NES games to some of my personal arcade favorites like Sunset Riders and Metal Slug. I only really started getting into the arcade side of things 3 or so years ago, when I stumbled across a listing for a TMNT 4 JAMMA board on Craigslist. I have an especial interest in nearly anything from the 90's arcade scene. (Neo-Geo related stuff especially. I'm always on the lookout for deal on MVS carts or even NEO GEO cabinets)
My interest in arcades has led me into many of the related fields and has led to me obtaining some high quality bits and pieces of hardware, mostly for RGB analog video and crt monitors and televisions. One of my goals is to be able to give back to the arcade communities I have lurked in for so long, borrowing ideas for video processing, interfacing with JAMMA arcades, and buying specialized hardware from people all over forums like this, giving us the ability to keep them alive for future generations. To that end, I have started getting into electronics and electric engineering, which is my major in college as we speak.
I'm a generally laid back kinda guy and I enjoy pretty much everything in arcades both new and old. I also probably spend a bit too much money on arcade/videogames and general technology, which means I often have a bit of a surplus of hardware and a severe lack of money so I'm generally looking to sell a piece of hardware or a project that I don't have time to finish.
Anyways, Looking forward to talking with you guys in the future, cheers.
