Hi all,
Just found this forum (thanks Admins for the validation) after getting back into my childhood gaming stage (mid-life crisis? Sod the Porsche!), specifically due to the Neo Geo, alas one console that was out of my parents price range, seems I missed a lot of good titles here. Am making up for that now.
Came back into the genre with some FPGA action via a MiSTer, but missed the tactile cartridge element and preferring the fight stick arcade style controls over the gamepad, so expanded my horizons and the Neo Geo titles were my biggest draw, though the shmup's on the Turbografx also peaked my interest and am building a steady collection there too (I know not quite arcade but in spirit at least, played tonnes of shmups (badly) on Arcades in my youth).
Anyway, just wanted to say Hi to all the clearly passionate members here, some unbelievable quality work from circuits to artwork to restorations, something I hope to aspire to (wife and space permitting) and bring my children along into appreciating some of the classics.
