Hello all! I'm a 5o-something year old arcade enthusiast from way back - cut my teeth in pizza joints and boardwalk arcades on the originals like Pong, Space Invaders, and my still all time favorite, Asteroids. My brothers and I even had an Intellivision when we were younger (my poor thumbs!)
Anyhow I have a complete Joust machine that died on me last year and I don't have the expertise to figure out what's wrong with it. I'm considering parting out the guts and using the cabinet completely as-is for a MAME cab. Can't bear to change the original graphics, coin door, marquee. I replaced the CPO a few years back, and other than a small crack because I didn't get it completely flush, it looks great. Anyhow, I look forward to sharing my progress on my Winter project of disassembling the guts and resurrecting the cab as MAME machine! Cheers!
